A bright magenta doormat should not be the thing that changes your week, and yet that is exactly why I had to tell this story.
After a few busy weeks of family life and end-of-term chaos, I come back to the roots of feng shui with a practical reminder: your home’s energy does not need to be perfect to be powerful, but it does need attention, clarity, and the right remedy in the right place.
I talk through how I look at my own front door area and the north west “helpful people” sector, why my home calls for a fire remedy there, and how something as simple as a doormat can become a clear energetic signal when it is placed with intention.
I also share what happened when that remedy was removed for very real life reasons, then cleaned, replaced, and re-activated. The result is not a beach house fantasy. It is support, smoother progress, and the feeling that gates are opening rather than everything requiring brute force.
We also touch on salt lamps and why grounding energy can sometimes feel too heavy depending on where you place it and what season of life you are in.
