God Is Good

'God Is Good All The Time' was written by Don Moen and Paul Overstreet. The writing of this great song began when Don Moen attended a Revival Meeting and heard an Evangelist repeatedly use the call-and-response phrase "God is good all the time...don't forget that God is good all the time". Deeply moved by this phrase, he wrote it down, realizing that while life itself is not always good, God remains by His very nature...good.

'God Is Good All The Time' is ONE of the songs released from a Hosanna! Integrity Music project entitled 'God Is Good', and was recorded at The Vines Center in Lynchburg, Virginia with Worship Leader Don Moen and was Produced and Arranged by Tom Brooks.

The writers did not want the song to be "light or boring" because they knew it would be sung by people going through incredibly difficult times and it should be shaped to encourage people facing hardships. The words in the Bridge section states "Though I may not understand all the plans You have for me, my life is in Your hands" were written to be a definitive daily declaration of faith when life feels out of control.

Don Moen is quoted as saying about this great song that he wrote..."Most of us need to make that daily declaration on a day by day basis that by faith 'God is good all the time and all the time God is good!
