About Rei Vardi
Rei Vardi is the founder and CEO of Eon, an electric vehicle rental and subscription platform that helps renters access EVs more easily while enabling vehicle owners to generate income from underused assets. He studied biomedical engineering at Boston University and conducted Alzheimer's research at Massachusetts General Hospital before transitioning into entrepreneurship. Rei started Eon after taking over a Tesla lease and identifying major inefficiencies in traditional car rental and peer-to-peer vehicle sharing systems. Built entirely without outside capital, he grew the company from a dorm room project into a multi-location operation with teams in the United States and the Philippines. His work spans electric mobility, EV rentals, car sharing technology, and bootstrapped startup growth, with a focus on building resilient systems and scalable company culture.
