ChatGPT can now create interactive answers inside a conversation, with controls you can click and numbers you can change. I show OpenAI's Intelligent UI announcement and try three examples: understanding a rhythm I heard at an apple festival in Cyprus, working out the economics of a small workshop, and planning dinner for eight people with one oven.
The rhythm example gives me a visual way to follow an unfamiliar time signature. The workshop calculator lets me change ticket prices, attendance and costs while seeing the result. The dinner planner updates portions and a cooking schedule as I change the guest count or serving time.
I also show an interactive explanation of how a large language model works, and how to ask for these controls directly in a chat you've already started. These are demonstrations you can try with your own questions and numbers.
