Someone at a workshop recently asked me: does it count as spending time by myself if I’m on a walk, but I’m listening to a podcast?

It’s such a good question because there’s a difference between being physically alone and actually spending time with yourself. One is about location. The other is about attention.

In this episode I go deeper into what it means to spend time alone but have external inputs, why it matters to pay attention to this, and what real alone time can look like.
