# STRESS RELIEF - Meditation Script
Hey there, friend. I'm Julia Cartwright, and I'm so glad you're here with me today. You know, it's early Sunday morning as I'm recording this, and I'm thinking about all of you out there carrying the weight of the week. Maybe you're facing a big meeting tomorrow, or you've got family stuff on your mind, or you're just exhausted from the constant hum of keeping it all together. Whatever brought you here today, I want you to know that taking these next few minutes for yourself? That's already the bravest thing you can do.
So let's settle in together. Find a comfortable seat, somewhere that feels safe and supported. You might be on your couch, cross-legged on the floor, or sitting at your kitchen table with a cup of tea cooling beside you. There's no perfect position here. Just make sure your spine is tall but not rigid, like a tree that can bend in the wind.
Now, bring your attention to your breath. Not to change it, just to notice it. Breathe in naturally through your nose for a count of four. Hold it gently for four. And exhale slowly through your mouth for six. Let that exhale be a little longer than the inhale, like you're releasing something you've been holding onto. In for four, hold for four, out for six. Let's do that a few more times together at your own pace.
Here's what I want you to imagine. Think of your body as a sponge that's been soaking up stress all week, all month maybe. Every worry, every tension, every little thing that didn't go quite right. It's all saturated in there. Now, with each exhale, imagine wringing out that sponge. You're not trying to force anything. You're just gently, intentionally releasing what doesn't belong to you anymore.
With your next breath, breathe in calm. Maybe it's the color blue, or the feeling of warm sunlight, or the scent of something you love. Whatever calm looks like to you. Hold that for four counts. Really let it fill you up. Then exhale that stress, that heaviness, that weight you've been carrying. Watch it dissolve like fog in the morning light. Again, breathing in calm, holding it, and releasing stress. Let's continue this for another minute, at your own rhythm.
As you finish, notice how your body feels different. You might feel lighter, softer, more present. That feeling? Protect it. Carry it with you today. When stress tries to creep back in, pause and remember this breath, this release, this moment of peace you just created.
Thank you so much for practicing Stress Relief with me today. Your commitment to your own wellbeing matters more than you know. Please subscribe so we can do this together again soon. Take care of yourself out there.
