Hey there, and welcome. I'm Julia Cartwright, and I'm so glad you're here with me right now. You know, it's Friday morning, and I have a feeling some of you might be carrying the weight of the week in your shoulders, maybe grinding your teeth a little bit. That's exactly what I want to help ease today. So take a breath with me. You're in the right place.

Let's settle in together. Find yourself a comfortable seat, somewhere you won't be interrupted for the next few minutes. This is your time. No phones, no to-do lists. Just you and me and the quiet. Let your shoulders drop away from your ears. Good. Now, close your eyes if that feels right, or soften your gaze downward. We're creating a little sanctuary here, even if it's just for the next few minutes.

I want you to notice your breath. Not to change it, just to notice it, like you're watching clouds drift across a sky. You might breathe in for a count of four, hold for a moment, then exhale for five. That longer exhale? That's the magic. It tells your nervous system, hey, we're safe now. We can let go. Repeat that with me. In through your nose for four. One, two, three, four. Hold. Then out through your mouth for five. One, two, three, four, five. Again. In for four. And out for five. Beautiful. You're already doing the work.

Now here's what I want you to do. With each breath, I want you to imagine tension as something tangible. Maybe it's a color, like a dark gray fog. Maybe it's a weight, like wet sand. Whatever it is for you, as you exhale, imagine it leaving your body completely. It's not fighting you. It's not stubborn. It's just... departing. Like smoke drifting out an open window. You're not pushing it away. You're simply making space for it to go. Breathe in calm. Breathe out that weight. In and out. In and out. There's no rush. Your body knows how to do this.

Continue with me for just a few more breaths. Feel your feet on the ground. Feel your back against the chair. You're held. You're supported. And with each exhale, you're lighter.

Now, here's what you can take with you today. The next time you feel stress creeping in, pause. Do three of those longer exhales. Just three. You don't need thirty minutes. You don't need perfect circumstances. You need three conscious breaths and the knowledge that you already know how to calm yourself.

Thank you so much for joining me on Stress Relief today. I truly hope this practice gave you something real to hold onto. If it resonated with you, please subscribe so you don't miss our next session. You've got this.
