In this episode, I’m joined by Rishi, a dad on a mission to support children with speech and language delay. Rishi shares the inspiring journey of his son Aaryan, how music helped him find his voice, and how becoming a father transformed Rishi’s own life. 

We explore conscious parenting, communication, breaking generational patterns, creating a safe and supportive home environment, and the importance of focusing on a child’s individual strengths. 

Rishi also shares how Aaryan’s journey inspired Speech Heroes, turning their personal experience into a mission to empower children, support families and help more young people feel heard, understood and encouraged.

About Rishi:

Rishi is a dad on a mission and advocate for children struggling to communicate and understand words because of Speech and Language challenges. 

He is founder of The Speech Heroes, a purpose led children's communication brand inspired and born out of his son, Aryan's journey with struggling to communicate and understand words and a provisional diagnosis of Developmental Language Disorder.  The journey didn't start off with a vision to create a brand, it started with Rishi realising that his son connected with music so he wrote a rap song called Speech Bound and Aryan started to repeat the words back to him. That song led to the start of Aryan's communication journey and later him performing that same song across a number of festivals in the Midlands. 

To date the pair have raised £3,200 for the very children impacted by Speech and Language challenges in the United Kingdom and have recently gifted over 200 copies of their book for free to children in Birmingham. 

Rishi founded The Speech Heroes in October 2025 and has since released a children's book called The Speech Heroes Vs. The Word Stoppers and currently working on a communications adventure board game to encourage parent and child time to play and connect.
