Season 2 Episode 10!
So excited today to release this episode. I was lucky enough to be put in contact with the lead author from the recently published 2026 ACSM position stand. Dr. Brad Currier joins the podcast to discuss the first update to the ACSM's guidelines in the last 17 years.
Brad is a brilliant scientist and researcher who graduated under the tutelage of Dr. Stu Phillips from McMaster University in Canada. Stu will be coming back on the podcast soon and I'm so excited to chat with him!
Since graduating Brad has moved on to a private company called Timeline as their manager for clinical trials. Timeline makes a variety of different research backed products with a major focus on cellular health and longevity. I would highly encourage anyone to check them out. Brad also has stayed close to the exercise science community and helped spearhead this research review which was a massive undertaking featuring some of the biggest names in exercise science.
I'm so thrilled to share this episode as we discuss all the major findings and takeaways from this paper and how they apply to our listeners and how they can start putting them to work. This episode is filled with tons of actionable plans and will be very encouraging for exercise professionals! If you want to learn more about Brad you can find him on IG at Bradcurrier.phd.
I'm hoping to finish my new book in the next few months, with the same title as this podcast. In the interim if you love the show and want to support, I'd appreciate you picking up a copy of my first book "How 2 Look Good Naked".
I'm so excited! I recently started working with a direct to consumer longevity and wellness company called Whoosh. They just launched with their initial offering of weight loss and optimization peptides. If you've been thinking about trying these incredible medications, there's never been a better time. Fast delivery, trusted medical supervised compounding pharmacies and world-class customer service. Not to mention ultra-competitive pricing. Check out their website to learn more at www.whooshwellness.com.
If you've ever thought about adding to your own home gym, there's a brand I'm a huge fan of that I couldn't recommend more highly. Temple of Gainz is a California based company that's making waves in the home gym space with some of the best products on the market.
Their thoughtful designs inspired by great machines of the past are constantly being innovated and improved. Their customer service is top notch and they have some of the most competitive prices in the space with their direct to consumer shipping (which is free if you spend more than $1500). Whether you own a small studio or want to create the ultimate home gym, you should give Temple of Gainz a try!
