In Luke chapters 1 and 2, the angel Gabriel announces the miraculous births of John the Baptist and of Jesus, preparing the way for God’s salvation. John is born to Zechariah and Elizabeth, while Jesus is born to Mary and Joseph in Bethlehem, heralded by angels and visited by shepherds. These chapters highlight God’s faithfulness, the fulfillment of prophecy, and the arrival of the Messiah.
