Australian women's health declining despite world-class system

Dela

Australia scores 59 out of 100 in the fifth annual Global Women's Health Index, ranking behind countries like Thailand, the United States and Serbia. Cancer testing rates among Australian women have declined, with fewer than one in four reporting being tested in the last year, while stress and worry levels have increased over the past five years. Breast cancer survivor Lynette Bolton emphasises the critical importance of regular health screenings and early detection, sharing how finding and addressing her lump within days led to successful treatment of aggressive triple negative breast cancer.
