You know what you want…so why are you still asking everyone else what you should do?
For years, I thought I was indecisive. I’d ask my husband what he thought, get irritated when he told me to “do what you want,” and then overthink the hell out of whatever decision I was trying to make.
What I eventually realized was that I wasn’t always looking for advice.
I was looking for permission.
In Part Two of this series, we’re talking about what choosing yourself actually looks like after years of people-pleasing, second-guessing yourself, and making other people’s reactions more important than your own inner knowing.
We’ll talk about the difference between asking for perspective and asking for permission, why choosing yourself can feel so uncomfortable at first, and why self-trust isn’t knowing you’ll always make the right decision, it’s trusting that you won’t abandon yourself when you don’t.
Because coming home to yourself isn’t one huge moment.
It’s built every time you hear your own voice, trust it, and choose her. 💛
In this episode:
- Why “do what you want” used to piss me off 😂
- Perspective vs. permission
- Why someone’s disappointment doesn’t automatically mean you’re wrong
- What choosing yourself actually means
- How imperfect decisions build self-trust
- One simple question to start hearing your own voice again
You don’t have to abandon yourself in order to belong.
