I used to think freelancing was just a different way of working... flexible hours, no commute, that kind of thing. What I didn't expect was how much it would show me about myself. Without a manager setting my structure, a paycheque quietly arriving, or an org chart enforcing my boundaries, I found out pretty fast what I actually do with unstructured time, how I really feel about money, and how far I'll let a client push before I say no.
