Egyptian mythology horror podcast Long Night in Egypt crosses the threshold — the students are no longer in the physical world.
The Duat in ancient Egyptian belief is not a place the living can visit. It is the realm through which the dead travel on their way to judgment — a landscape of rivers, gates, and monsters, governed by Osiris and patrolled by Anubis. The students have found themselves inside it. They are alive, which is not how this is supposed to work. And the dead who surround them do not know what to do with that.
