In Part 3 of The Rise Series, I share what happened after losing my son Hap and the grief, depression, and self-abandonment that followed. I talk about coming home from the hospital without my baby, sitting through a dinner where everyone acted as if nothing had happened, and how deeply that moment showed me the ways I had learned to silence my own needs. I also open up about hitting rock bottom, struggling with depression, and the beginning of a powerful awakening where I started questioning the beliefs, relationships, and patterns I had spent years trying to fit into.
Then something happened that I could only understand as a miracle. My daughter began talking about Hap as if he were still near and telling people I was going to have another baby. Months after losing him, I discovered I was pregnant again, with a due date on the exact date Hap had passed.
