Have you ever looked back and realized how early you learned to question your own intuition? In Part 1 of The Rise Series, I’m sharing the beginning of my story, from growing up in Idaho and being raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the experiences that shaped my relationship with faith, belonging, love, and self-trust. I open up about the expectations I felt as a young girl, the questions I learned to push down, my first experience with love and devastating loss, and the patterns that slowly taught me to abandon what I felt inside.
I also share the story of meeting a love that felt deeply aligned, walking away from that relationship because of religion, and eventually moving toward a marriage even as my body and intuition were telling me something wasn’t right. This series is about telling the raw truth, healing through our stories, rebuilding self-trust, and recognizing the moments when we choose acceptance over authenticity. My hope is that somewhere inside my story, you begin to recognize your own and remember that it is never too late to reclaim your voice and rise.
