In 1958, the Herrmann family’s ordinary suburban home in Seaford, Long Island, became the centre of one of America’s most famous poltergeist cases. Bottles popped open, liquids spilled, objects flew, police investigated, reporters watched overnight, and even a priest was called in before the disturbances suddenly stopped.
