From Excaliburand X-Factorto Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and beyond, Tini Howard has built a career around bold characters, sharp genre instincts, and stories about identity, power, and control. On this episode, Tini joins the Bandits to reflect on her path through Marvel, DC, and creator-owned comics before diving into Sicko, her new Ignition Press series with artist Amilcar Pinna. The conversation explores the book’s wild central premise, its mix of body horror, humor, action, and emotional vulnerability, and the way it uses superhero storytelling to examine illness, autonomy, and the uneasy line between care and control. Along the way, Tini talks about reuniting with Pinna, the freedom of creator-owned work, and what this new chapter represents for her as a writer.
