From the Business of Entertainment on Cape Talk , we talked to Mpumi Phillips, who is the Director of Distribution for The Orchard in South Africa, the global music distribution and artist services company owned by Sony Music.

Based in Johannesburg, she leads The Orchard’s South African operations, helping artists, labels and rights holders expand their reach across digital streaming platforms and international markets.

With close to two decades of experience in the music and entertainment industry, Mpumi previously served as Label Manager at Ghetto Ruff and spent over ten years at Sheer Publishing, where she managed music licensing, synchronisation and creative services for film, television and advertising productions.
