She is the founder of Wêla Kapela Productions. Established in 2018, Wêla Kapela Productions has rapidly become one of South Africa's leading cabaret and musical theatre producers.

Under Bothma's leadership, the company has delivered a string of award-winning productions, including Vincent, Mad About The Boys, Die Siel van Eugène Marais, and The Tramp, earning multiple Naledi Theatre Awards, a BroadwayWorld South Africa Award, a Fiesta Award nomination, and international recognition at the Edinburgh Fringe and London's West End.

The Business of Entertainment airs on CapeTalk every Thursday at 9:00 PM and is rebroadcast on Sundays at 9:00 PM.
