Hello guys and welcome back to another Fringe in Fifteen!
A series dedicated to fringe artists across the UK and beyond, giving them a fifteen minute elevator pitch style interview promoting what their show is about and where people can see it.
Today we welcome Matt Ackermann and his show “TAP OUT! (Or I’ll hit you again) at the Edinburgh Fringe until 31st August. Catch it at the Gilded Balloon in “The Coorie” every night at 6:20pm.
The show follows a man “realising that his life is going nowhere, a man decides to go out in a mask and pick fights with random people on the street. He knows it’s reckless and amoral, but he doesn’t care - it’s liberating.
He feels like a “man”.
And as he gets a taste for it, the consequences of these bouts come back soon to bite him.”
The play is an examination of identity, purpose and male loneliness. It’s Fight Club meets Fleabag meets James Graham’s Punch.
