Jasmine Whitaker has a background in hairdressing, and she began to see a lot of clients with different issues, such as hair loss, or asking for added hair. This led to her studying in hair loss and training in cranial prosthetics.
Jasmine shares how more & more people are visiting salons with problems with their hair and scalp, and we are going to continue to see clients with more complex needs.
Cranial prosthetics are a medical hair replacement unit, which are custom made to fit each client.
She also helps clients to navigate the financial side of hair replacement, such as costings, and applying for insurance claims.
We discuss the viability of different units and base types, and how certain wigs can be considered DME.
