Immunic Inc (NASDAQ:IMUX, FRA:10VA) CEO Erik Lundgren joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion to discuss four posters the company will present at MSToronto2026, the 10th Joint ACTRIMS-ECTRIMS Meeting in Toronto from October 21–23.
The presentations explore the potential of vidofludimus calcium, Immunic’s investigational oral therapy for multiple sclerosis (MS), across clinical, biomarker and preclinical research.
One poster presents long-term disability data from the Phase 2 CALLIPER study in progressive MS. The analysis found that favourable trends in disability outcomes were maintained during the open-label extension phase, with low treatment discontinuation.
The other posters examine how vidofludimus calcium may promote neuronal survival through Nurr1 preclinically, the relationship between Epstein-Barr virus-related immune activity and cognitive performance, and a proposed statistical measure capturing both disability worsening and improvement.
Lundgren discussed how the findings could deepen understanding of the drug’s potential to address both inflammatory disease activity and disability progression, a key unmet need for people living with MS.
He also outlined Immunic’s wider development priorities as the company works towards potential commercialisation of vidofludimus calcium.
Watch the full interview for Lundgren’s insights into the four posters and the next steps for Immunic’s MS programme.
