HeLIX Exploration PLC (AIM:HEX, OTCQB:HHEXF) CEO Bo Sears spoke with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about restarting helium production at the Rudyard project in Montana, resuming tube trailer filling and plans to expand output through further drilling.
Sears confirmed that the processing plant and wells were back in operation following regulatory approval, with the company actively filling its tube trailer as it prepares to resume helium sales.
He said the plant had already undergone extensive work to get it operating reliably, giving Helix confidence it could return to full production quickly. The restart approval includes regular checks of gas composition, which Sears described as a routine regulatory requirement.
The interview also explored how quickly Helix could increase production. Sears said output could potentially double through an active drilling programme, with the Ollie #1 well completed and the Ross #1 location staked.
The company is now focused on restoring steady operations while advancing its field expansion plans. Key milestones include establishing production flow rates, resuming regular helium deliveries and progressing further drilling at Rudyard.
Watch the full interview to hear Sears discuss the production restart, regulatory monitoring and Helix’s plans to scale up its helium business.
