In this episode of The Frui-Tea Podcast, I sit down with Zaid K. Dahhaj, a circadian biology educator and heliotherapist dedicated to restoring humanity’s relationship with natural light. Zaid teaches the forgotten science of how sunlight, movement, and environment shape hormonal rhythms, mitochondrial function, and systemic health. Through his publication on Substack, The Circadian Classroom, he blends evolutionary wisdom with modern biophysics to help people realign their biology with the sun and reclaim their vitality in a world built against it.
Zaid’s work deeply resonates with me, as he teaches much of what I also share through The Sunshine Diet. We hold many of the same beliefs and practices around the sun, yet he’s been studying and researching these topics far longer than I have, so it was such a gift to speak with someone more seasoned and well-read in this field. I hope you enjoy this illuminating conversation as much as I did.
