Full Strength: Leavitt confirmed that his recent hamstring injury was minor and that he will be completely full-go by Saturday. • Blessing in Disguise: Both Leavitt and head coach Lane Kiffin noted that the injury forced the dual-threat quarterback to stay patient in the pocket rather than relying immediately on his legs. This resulted in an efficient 18-of-23 passing performance for 176 yards and 3 touchdowns in their 63-14 win over McNeese. | "Who is This Kentucky Team?" • The Portal History: Kentucky (4-1) is incredibly familiar with Leavitt. When Leavitt entered the transfer portal from Arizona State as the top available quarterback, Kentucky was his very first visit. After he chose Lane Kiffin and LSU, Kentucky quickly pivoted to land Notre Dame transfer Kenny Minchey. Hostile Environment: Kentucky's defense will provide a stiff challenge at Kroger Field. LSU is focusing heavily on simulating crowd noise during mid-week practices to avoid the pre-snap penalties and communication breakdowns that plagued them during their previous road loss at Ole Miss.
