Who is this LSU Football Team after one month of play? | LSU Players Speak | Jacques Doucet Joins!

The Identity: Aggressive and Explosive On Jacques Talk Live, the sentiment surrounding the team shifted from cautious optimization to pure excitement after the Texas A&M game. Lane Kiffin has brought his signature fearless play-calling. The defining moment of the month came on a fourth-and-short special against the Aggies where Kiffin took a shot downfield, resulting in a 57-yard touchdown strike. • The Offense: Led by quarterback Sam Leavitt, the offense is moving the ball dynamically. Leavitt threw for 312 yards and two touchdowns against A&M despite dealing with an apparent leg injury. Wide receiver Jackson Harris had a massive breakout performance (163 yards, 2 TDs) alongside Winnie Watkins Jr.. • The Ground Game & Emerging Stars: While Dillin Jones handles the heavy lifting in the backfield, analysts on Jacques' show highlighted true freshman Harlem Berry's rapid progression on special teams and his growing case for a heavier offensive workload. What the Players and Coaches are Saying Following the emotional rollercoaster of September, the locker room is focused and united: • The "Different Coach" Effect: Following the blowout win, Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed explicitly noted the difference in LSU compared to previous seasons, stating simply, "They have a different coach." • Bouncing Back: Coach Kiffin highlighted how the team was able to completely flush the Ole Miss loss and play clean, complimentary football. Before the A&M game, Kiffin noted on the SEC Teleconference that the players were "excited to get back on the field" after blowing a great comeback opportunity in Oxford. • The Defense Speaks: Under defensive coordinator Blake Baker, the Tiger defense has been suffocating. Aside from the first half against Ole Miss, they have overwhelmed opposing offensive lines, racking up negative plays and completely shutting down Texas A&M's ground game.
