Atlanta Falcons Blow Out New Orleans Saints, 45-24
On the other side of Louisiana sports, the New Orleans Saints were thoroughly defeated on Monday Night Football, losing 45-24 to their division rivals, the Atlanta Falcons, at the Caesars Superdome.
The game slipped away from the Saints early as a missed field goal and a lost fumble from Kendre Miller helped Atlanta build a quick 14-0 lead. The Falcons' rushing attack dominated the game, led by Bijan Robinson, who sliced through the New Orleans defense for 145 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Fellow running back Brian Robinson Jr. added three rushing scores of his own.
Saints quarterback Tyler Shough completed 286 passing yards and a touchdown to Devaughn Vele, while Chris Olave hauled in 8 receptions for 116 yards. However, a stagnant rushing attack that totaled just 50 yards and a costly turnover prevented New Orleans from keeping pace with Atlanta's high-powered offense. The loss drops the Saints to a 1-3 record on the season.
