Can you practice witchcraft alone without becoming isolated?
In this episode of the Magick Kitchen Podcast, Leandra Witchwood and Elyse Welles explore the balance between solitary witchcraft and spiritual community. They talk about why a solitary practice can be deeply meaningful while still leaving room for covens, festivals, public rituals, workshops, and other forms of connection.
Together, they unpack the different levels of commitment that witchcraft communities can offer, from initiatory covens and ongoing groups to festivals and one-time classes. They also discuss social anxiety, group dynamics, spiritual growth, shadow work, unhealthy communities, leadership, and how difficult interactions can sometimes reveal important lessons about ourselves.
This is a grounded conversation about finding support without giving up your independence—and recognizing that being a solitary witch does not have to mean walking your path alone.
