What happens when divination moves beyond the tarot table and into relationship with the living world?
In this episode of the Magick Kitchen Podcast, Leandra Witchwood and Elyse Welles welcome Joanna Farrar, author of The Diviner’s Path: A Nature-Led Approach to Divination with Tarot, Runes, and Pendulums, for a rich conversation about divination, animism, omens, and spirit communication.
Joanna explains what divination actually is, how symbolic systems like tarot and runes function as languages, and why observation and pattern recognition are essential when working with signs from birds, weather, animals, and the land. They also explore augury, pendulums, spiritual hygiene, discernment, journaling, fate versus free will, and how to build trustworthy relationships with spirits without surrendering your own agency.
This episode is a grounded guide to making divination more relational, practical, and deeply connected to place.
