“I’m never enough.” “I have to take care of myself.” “This pain will never go away.” Our broken stories can shape how we see God, ourselves, and one another. In Luke 2:21–40, we encounter the Savior who enters those stories and brings us into the Father’s story of redemption.
As our series in Luke continues, an ordinary visit to the temple reveals God’s extraordinary faithfulness. Mary and Joseph present Jesus, Simeon receives the salvation he has waited for, and Anna shares the hope of redemption. This child will become the Lamb who dies in our place, fulfilling God’s promises and making us new through His death and resurrection.
Together, we consider what it means to receive salvation as a gift and live as beloved children of the Father. Christ’s light exposes the old stories we still believe, while His people help us remember who we are and grow in faith through suffering and everyday life. Rooted in Christ, we can share the hope we’ve received with those around us.
Receive your Savior. Remember who you are. Reach for the harvest.
