Sarah Tyndall, PT, MPT, OCS, is a Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Physical Therapist who trained in Classical Ballet growing up, ultimately deciding to pursue a career in Physical Therapy to help other dancers reach their dreams and highest potential. Dance has remained an integral part of Sarah's life, branching into Latin and Salsa style performance training even after grad school.
Over Sarah's more than 20 years of practice and nearly 14 years as a Board-Certified Orthopedic Specialist, her experience ranges from children to older adults with focused niche skills in Dance Medicine and Performing Arts and Foot & Ankle injuries.
Sarah has previously worked with performers and students of Philadelphia Ballet, Rock School for Dance Education, University of the Arts, touring shows “Phantom of the Opera” and “So You Think You Can Dance”, and many others in the Philadelphia region. She also worked with internationally competitive Figure Skaters and gained exposure through medical and therapy team members for the Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles and Flyers, bringing a strong understanding of the importance of truly cross-training the body to achieve maximal performance.
Her time spent as a therapist in this setting has helped her develop a deeper understanding of fast-paced triage, treatment planning and return to training programs for strength and conditioning. Sarah also decided to pursue more in-depth Pilates training through Balanced Body, to draw on and expand treatment concepts she has used throughout her career.
