Friends of the Rosary,
Today, November 1, is the Solemnity of All Saints, which celebrates the communion of saints, known and unknown, in the glory of Heaven.
Throughout the year, the Church celebrates the feasts of the saints one by one. Today, the Church joins them all in one festival.
November is the month dedicated to the Holy Souls in Purgatory.
The saints demonstrate that holiness is possible in every circumstance of human life.
True greatness lies not in power, wealth, or recognition, but in a heart transformed by God’s grace.
The saints were ordinary men and women who encountered difficulties, temptations, and suffering, yet responded with extraordinary faithfulness to Christ. Their lives remind us that sainthood represents the universal vocation of every baptized Christian.
Holiness does not require escaping the world, but living within it with humility, compassion, courage, and love.
As we celebrate the multitude of saints enjoying the beatific vision now, we are reminded that heaven is not merely a distant promise but the ultimate destination toward which our lives should be directed.
"This perfect life with the Most Holy Trinity—this communion of life and love with the Trinity, with the Virgin Mary, the angels and all the blessed—is called "heaven." Heaven is the ultimate end and fulfillment of the deepest human longings, the state of supreme, definitive happiness." (CCC 1024).
Today, on this feast of hope of All Saints, Jesus presents the Beatitudes in the Gospel (Matthew 5:1–12a) as the path to authentic happiness and eternal life.
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, the merciful, the pure of heart, and those who hunger for righteousness."
• St. Augustine teaches that the Beatitudes describe the progressive transformation of the Christian soul. Humility opens the path to holiness, while purity of heart prepares us for the ultimate happiness of seeing God.
• St. Thomas Aquinas explains that the Beatitudes reveal the actions and dispositions through which human beings approach their supernatural destiny. True happiness is found not in earthly achievements but in the eternal possession of God.
Ave Maria!
Come, Holy Spirit, come!
To Jesus through Mary!
Here I am, Lord; I come to do Your will.
Please give us the grace to respond with joy!
