In which the Mister joins me in reviewing SIMPLE SIMON (2010), from writers Andreas Öhman and Jonathan Sjöberg, the film is directed by Andreas Öhman. In this Swedish comedy-drama, an 18-year-old man with Asperger’s syndrome named Simon (Bill Skarsgård) relies heavily on strict routines, predictable schedules, and the constant support of his older brother, Sam (Martin Wallström). When Sam’s girlfriend becomes overwhelmed by Simon's strict lifestyle demands and leaves him, Sam sinks into a deep depression that shatters Simon’s structured world. Determined to restore order and bring happiness back to his brother, Simon embarks on a meticulous, logical quest to find Sam a brand-new girlfriend, leading to a series of unpredictable and heartwarming complications. The film clocks in at 1 h and 45 m, is unrated and we caught it on the Hoopla App but is also available Prime Video, Fawesome, Plex, Roku and Tubi and to buy/rent on Prime Video.
