I joined Newsmax to talk about the fight over AI data centers, China’s influence campaigns and the very real concerns Americans have about what this massive infrastructure buildout means for their communities. China absolutely has an incentive to flood our information ecosystem with fear about American AI development while racing ahead with its own, but that does not magically make every criticism of data centers Chinese propaganda. Many of these facilities are still pulling enormous amounts of electricity from local grids, consuming natural resources and forcing communities to absorb costs they never agreed to. America needs to win the AI race, but Big Tech does not get a blank check to bulldoze local communities in the name of national security and call anyone who objects a communist asset.
