Community is more than simply being around other people. It’s showing up, sharing space, building relationships, supporting one another, and creating experiences together.
In this episode of the Northwoods Kindred Podcast, we continue our The Mundane Is Sacred series by talking about community—and this time, we’re taking that conversation beyond the podcast studio.
We’re heading to the 3rd Annual Let’s Vike It Viking Faire at Newport City Park in Newport, Washington! Northwoods Kindred will be there vending, visiting with the community, and enjoying a weekend filled with people, traditional skills, history, and kinship.
Gothi Bodvarr will also be serving as Master of Ceremonies, and on Saturday morning he’ll open Let’s Vike It with a blessing as part of the opening procession.
If you're in the area, come by and say hi to Northwoods Kindred! We'd love the chance to meet you in person.3rd Annual Let’s Vike It Viking Faire Newport City Park — Newport, WA Friday, September 11, 2026 — 5:00 PM–9:00 PM Saturday, September 12, 2026 — 10:00 AM–5:00 PM Opening procession & blessing — Saturday at 10:00 AM
