What does social justice actually look like in real classrooms? Today, Rachael Lucille, School Program Specialist at Little Justice Leaders, joins me to discuss what social justice work can look like at different grade levels.
She defines social justice and helps us explore its core principles. We share stories about our own children and how we approach age-appropriate conversations about equity and inclusion with them. Rachael gives us actionable steps schools can take to lay the groundwork for social justice work. She explains how coaches can support this work, even when they don’t choose the curriculum. Plus, you’ll learn how to push back on state-specific policies that make this work difficult.
Social justice work isn’t just for older students. We can incorporate it from Kindergarten through High School. Listen now to hear all about social justice in the classroom.
