HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION Review – “Trick Or Treat, Motherf—!” - FIRST TIME WATCHING - The Reel Rejects | Lyssna här

Jackie Bonsignore & Jon Maturan watch Halloween: Resurrection for the first time as their Michael Myers marathon continues in anticipation of Halloween: The Game! The eighth Halloween movie brings Michael back to Haddonfield after the events of Halloween H20, where an online reality show called Dangertainment sends six college students inside his childhood home. Jackie & Jon react to the controversial Laurie Strode opening, the H20 paramedic retcon, Tyra Banks making coffee instead of directing, Busta Rhymes confronting Michael while dressed as The Shape, the infamous kung-fu fight, and that wild electrocution ending!

Directed by Rick Rosenthal (Halloween II, Bad Boys), Halloween: Resurrection stars Busta Rhymes as Freddie Harris (Higher Learning, Narc), Bianca Kajlich as Sara Moyer (Rules of Engagement, 30 Minutes or Less), Sean Patrick Thomas as Rudy Grimes (Save the Last Dance, Cruel Intentions), Katee Sackhoff as Jen Danzig (Battlestar Galactica, The Mandalorian), Thomas Ian Nicholas as Bill Woodlake (American Pie, Rookie of the Year), Ryan Merriman as Myles Barton (Final Destination 3, Smart House), Tyra Banks as Nora Winston (America’s Next Top Model, Life-Size), Brad Loree as Michael Myers, and Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode (Knives Out, Everything Everywhere All at Once).

After the reaction, Jackie & Jon discuss the early-2000s reality-TV premise, the found-footage webcam gimmick, Brad Loree’s Michael Myers, Laurie Strode’s controversial fate, Busta Rhymes stealing the movie, and whether Halloween: Resurrection is entertainingly ridiculous or simply one sequel too many.
