FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VIII REVIEW – We Wanted More Jason in Manhattan! - FIRST TIME WATCHING - The Reel Rejects | Lyssna här

We Had Fun… But What Was That Ending?! Jackie Bonsignore & Paige Kimsey continue their first-time Friday the 13th marathon with a Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan reaction and full movie review! Jason Voorhees boards the S.S. Lazarus and stalks a graduating class on its voyage to New York City, turning their senior trip into a floating bloodbath. Jackie & Paige react to J.J.’s guitar kill, the sauna death, Julius boxing Jason on a rooftop, the legendary head punch, Jason confronting a boombox gang in Times Square, and the completely bizarre toxic-waste sewer ending!

Written and directed by Rob Hedden (Friday the 13th: The Series, The Condor), Jason Takes Manhattan stars Jensen Daggett as Rennie Wickham (Major League: Back to the Minors, Home Improvement), Scott Reeves as Sean Robertson (The Young and the Restless, General Hospital), Kane Hodder as Jason Voorhees (Hatchet, Jason X), Peter Mark Richman as Charles McCulloch (Dynasty, Three’s Company), Kelly Hu as Eva Watanabe (The Scorpion King, X2: X-Men United), and Saffron Henderson as J.J. Jarrett (Dragon Ball Z, Ranma ½).

After the reaction, Jackie & Paige discuss Kane Hodder’s second performance as Jason, the movie’s unusual cruise-ship setting, how little time Jason actually spends in Manhattan, the over-the-top kills, the grimy late-’80s New York atmosphere, and how Part VIII compares with The New Blood.
