Jackie Bonsignore & Jon Maturan watch Halloween H20: 20 Years Later for the first time in this full movie reaction and review! Twenty years after surviving Michael Myers, Laurie Strode is living under a new identity as the headmistress of a secluded California school—but the trauma of Haddonfield has never left her. Jackie & Jon react to Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s brutal opening death, Michael’s return, Laurie and Michael coming face-to-face through the school gate, Janet Leigh’s Psycho tribute, Laurie grabbing the axe, and that unforgettable decapitation ending!

Directed by Steve Miner (Friday the 13th Part 2, Lake Placid), Halloween H20 stars Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode/Keri Tate (True Lies, Knives Out), Josh Hartnett as John Tate (Black Hawk Down, Penny Dreadful), Michelle Williams as Molly Cartwell (Brokeback Mountain, The Fabelmans), Adam Arkin as Will Brennan (Chicago Hope, Get Shorty), LL Cool J as Ronny Jones (Deep Blue Sea, NCIS: Los Angeles), Janet Leigh as Norma Watson (Psycho, Touch of Evil), Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Jimmy Howell (Inception, Looper), and Chris Durand as Michael Myers (Armageddon, The Mask).

After the reaction, Jackie & Jon discuss Jamie Lee Curtis’ more traumatized version of Laurie Strode, the movie’s late-’90s slasher style, its decision to continue from Halloween II while ignoring Parts 4–6, the different Michael Myers masks, Janet Leigh’s meta cameo, and whether H20 delivers the most satisfying ending in the franchise.
