While the Carolina Hurricanes took a 2-0 lead in the first period, they ultimately lost Game 1, 5-4, to the Vegas Golden Knights. Despite the loss, the Hurricanes showed that they can beat these guys. Once they clean up the small mistakes, the Hurricanes will take some games from Vegas as the series goes on.
