The Carolina Hurricanes are one win away from reaching the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 2006. They utterly dominated the Montreal Canadiens in Game 4, shutting them out 4-0. From puck drop, it was all Hurricanes as they controlled all facets of the game. That being said, what stood out in the win? On the Thursday Edition of Locked On Hurricanes, Zach begins the show by sharing his thoughts on how the Hurricanes imposed their will on the Canadiens, shutting them down to only 18 shots all game, while having 19 shots alone in the third period. Furthermore, instead of needing three goals throughout the game, they only needed three in three minutes in the first period. How clutch were those goals? Secondly. Frederik Andersen showed why the Hurricanes have been going to him for the whole postseason. He picked his fifth playoff shutout for the Hurricanes in his career, third all playoffs. Plus, he is now 11-1 in the playoffs and shows no signs of slowing down. Finally, Zach concludes the show by sharing his thoughts on how the Hurricanes will need to keep their emotions in check for Game 5 on Friday. They are one win away from the Stanley Cup Final; they'll need to lock in to win the most important game up to this point in the playoffs.
