At 30 years into their long career, Nonpoint are not showing any signs of slowing down. At this moment, they are still touring and playing energetic shows, putting out new music, and doing things their own way with their own label, 361 Degrees Records. Seems like the band could have done everything at this point, right?
Well the band that still has a few surprises up their sleeves is about to release another record that is taking the sound of Nonpoint to its next evolution of exploration while still staying Nonpoint. But what is that, and should you get hyped about it?
Elias from Nonpoint rejoins the Chord Progression Podcast again as the band is set to release their 11th album, The Last Word, on September 18th. The album also happens to be the first album of theirs released on 361 Degrees Records, their own label. Join us for a quick one as we talk about:
- What it is like releasing "The Last Word" independently, and what they experienced as the label this time around, that many other artists can use to their knowledge in 2026.
- Diving into the singles "Red Yeti" & "Is It," along with how the writing style of "The Last Word" added more synth and production experimentation more to the Nonpoint groove than ever before.
- The song "Settled" being one of the most full and complete song of Nonpoint's style over 30 years.
Nonpoint is a great band, a great live show, and a great guest. Tap the subscribe button to not miss out on another episode.
