The market closed at a new high on Friday, led by the electronics sector, but the gains were limited amid investor caution ahead of the release of the U-S September nonfarm payroll data due later in the day. Major party leaders rally in support of local election candidates Leaders of Taiwan's major political parties have been rallying in support of their respective parties mayoral and city council candidates ahead of the November 28 local elections. Events on Sunday were held in Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung. In Taipei, President Lai Ching-te praised D-P-P's Taipei mayoral candidate Puma Shen at the opening of his campaign headquarters. New Tainan** railway station to open October 17** And, The Railway Bureau says the new Tainan Station is scheduled to open October 17. According to the bureau, the new station will allow the surrounding area to be redeveloped with a plaza, parking facilities, a transport hub and green space to improve connectivity and passenger access. The Taiwan Railway Corporation has said the new Tainan station will also be the first to use a color-coded (以色彩區分的，用顏色標記的) way-finding system similar to that of the High Speed Rail, with blue indicating northbound trains and green for southbound trains. Once completed, the Tainan Urban District Railway Underground Project is expected to eliminate 23 railway crossings and other grade-separated intersections. Details on FlyDubai Attacker Regional officials say authorities in the United Arab Emirates shared with Israel a list of passengers and crew ahead of last week's FlyDubai flight on which a pilot attempted to seize control of the Israel-bound aircraft and crash it.
