After the events of the first film, Earthrealm's champions face their greatest challenge yet as the forces of Outworld launch a full-scale invasion. Led by the ruthless Shao Kahn, familiar heroes such as Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, Jax, and Raiden join forces with new allies to stop an ancient prophecy from plunging Earth into eternal darkness.
