Stress, anxiety and worry are affecting people of every age and nation. Many people may appear strong and in control while internally struggling simply to keep going.
There are practical ways to manage stress, such as exercise, connecting with others and taking control of what we can. These can be helpful, but they do not address the deeper need for peace in our hearts and minds.
The Bible gives us a different answer. Jesus invites the weary and burdened to come to Him, promising rest for our souls. Philippians 4:6–7 teaches us to bring every situation to God in prayer, with thanksgiving, and promises that His peace will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Matthew 11:28–30 — “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
1. Come to Jesus
2. Stay Closely Connected with Jesus
3. Learn from Jesus
4. Receive Rest from Jesus
Whatever storms we are facing, we do not have to be consumed by fear, worry or stress.
Jesus invites us to come to Him, stay closely connected to Him, learn from Him and receive His rest.
Inner peace does not depend on having a problem-free life. It comes from knowing that Jesus is with us and that we do not have to carry life's burdens alone.
Come to Jesus. Get yoked to Him. Learn His way.
Receive His rest.
