"DTVC Extra" are shorter solo episodes that I'll be posting on some weeks in addition to the main podcast. In this episode I look at the three live action Street Fighter movies. In the first segment, I talk about my history with the video game, and then get into 1994's "Street Fighter," how my friends and I didn't have great expectations for it, but we wanted to see Van Damme. I also talk about how this affected Van Damme's career, but maybe not the way we think. In the second segment I talk about the much maligned "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li." I didn't dislike it, and I think it's perhaps because it feels like a good DTV actioner. In the third segment I talk about the newest movie, which I saw in the theater yesterday. It was a movie I was hoping would be great, did it live up to expectations? Finally, in the fourth segment I talk about my first novel, "Chad in Accounting," giving some background on how I came up with the initial idea, how the story evolved, and how I learned that writing the books might be the easiest part of self-publishing novels.
