Sami Zayn’s reward for main-event chaos is yet another artificial hoop to jump through against Finn Bálor, while Nick Aldis’ sudden interference serves as a convenient scapegoat to stall Gunther’s momentum. 

Over in the women’s division, the sudden arrival of Fatal Influence quickly devolved into predictable territory, relying on a surprise return from Nikki Bella to inject actual interest into a haphazardly slapped-together tag match. 

Rounding out the desperation is Baron Corbin immediately sliding back into the United States Championship picture despite months away, proving that while the names on the marquee might be big, the creative direction heading into this two-night spectacle is running on absolute fumes.
