Business leaders like Bill Gates, Elon Musk and Steve Jobs have insight that could help believers, yet the Bible warns against taking counsel from the ungodly. However, Jesus acknowledges that people of this world are often shrewder in worldly affairs than believers. Moses receives leadership advice from his father-in-law, a priest outside Israel, who tells him to follow it only if God commands. It's not a contradiction. It just means that information can be gathered from all kinds of sources. It's just that advice (which means the direction you should take based on information) should be guided by the Holy Spirit, not successful non-believers.
