When God says something is lost, he does not ask us to save it. Paul is on a ship in a storm, and God's report is that every life will be saved but the ship will be lost. The soldiers let the lifeboats drift away, the crew eats and throws the cargo overboard, and they cut the anchors and run the ship aground. They use the ship's destruction to reach shore. Likewise, let's stop spending energy on a job, relationship, business, house or idea that God has released.
